Laboratório de Geomática e Sistemas Marinhos - GEOMar

The Geomatics and Marine Systems Lab (GEOMar) is part of the Marine Management, Ecology, and Technology Group (GTMar) and is dedicated to research in satellite oceanography, remote sensing, and geoprocessing applied to coastal systems. GEOMar's activities are organized into three core research areas: (I) Dynamics of coastal systems​, (II) Coastal resilience and human-coastal interactions, and (III) Blue Economy. Our mission is to develop innovative approaches for monitoring and conducting quantitative analyses that advance the sustainable management of coastal systems.
