Leonardo Secchi - Dean

Professor Leonardo Secchi took on the role as School’s Dean on March 2, 2026.

A full professor at Santa Catarina State University (Udesc), Leonardo Secchi is affiliated with the Department of Public Administration and the Graduate Program in Administration (PPGA/Esag), where he has worked since 2009. He engages in teaching, research, and outreach activities in the areas of public policy, public management, governance, and innovation in the public sector. A registered administrator with the Regional Council of Administration of Santa Catarina (CRA-SC), he holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Administration from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and he has a Ph.D. in Political Science from University of Milan, with research periods at Harvard University and the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Throughout his academic career, he has also distinguished himself through his significant intellectual output. He is the author and editor of books and chapters in the fields of public policy and public administration, as well as articles published in national and international scientific journals. His works serve as references in undergraduate and graduate programs in Public Administration in Brazil.

A native of Ibirama (SC), 48 years old, he is the son of Nelson Secchi (in memoriam) and Sandra Maria Secchi. He is married to Aline Stahnke Secchi, with whom he has three children: Helena, Lorena, and Bernardo.
