Forward

The Forward Research Group is a research unit within the Petroleum Engineering Department at Santa Catarina State University (UDESC), Balneário Camboriú, SC, Brazil.

Creating and developing methodology, integrated workflow adapted to solve industry problems in modeling and simulation reservoir. The research englobes geoscientists, Mathematics and an engineering with focus in understand and solve the problem with integrated form, that is, we believe that the combination of knowledge from various areas creates a differentiated value. Every part of the team research knows about other disciplines and are involved in all the work process. These mode permit that the results have more compliance with conceptual geology, geometries, heterogeneity and cyclicity, applying these Experience transforming geologic observations, adapt the information with significance, transforming in input data, quantifying, adapt scales, and together construct the mathematics solve and construct the solutions.  

Develops subsurface modeling and simulating technology to support industry and academia in better understanding subsurface processes and addressing natural resource management challenges. 

As an academic research group, Forward Team develops multidisciplinary skills in geoscience, software and engineering at the undergraduate and graduate levels to help students to understand, use, improve and test nature resources.
