Course Objectives:
The objectives of the Business Administration Undergraduate Program at Udesc are:
To contribute to the development of competencies and skills so that graduates can operate with confidence in globalized environments characterized by uncertainty, unpredictability, and instability.
To raise awareness among students and faculty of the strategic role of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and information and communication technology (ICT) in the definition, implementation, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of innovative business and social projects.
To demonstrate the interconnection, utility, and value of the guiding principles of the curriculum (entrepreneurship, sustainability, and information and communication technology (ICT)), in the discussion and understanding of content in strategic areas of Business Administration: Management and Organizational Theories, Strategy, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Financial Management, Materials Management, Production and Logistics, Service Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing and Sales Management.
Encourage students and faculty to act as agents of transformation and innovation within organizations and society.
Encourage students and faculty to develop and implement innovative projects aimed at improving quality of life, socio-environmental sustainability, and the longevity of organizations.
Encourage the adoption of new attitudes and practices that enable the transfer of learning to the development of multi- and interdisciplinary teams in the development and implementation of innovative business and social projects.
Contribute to the adoption of a personal attitude of constant self-criticism in the face of challenges posed by organizations and the environment.
Professional Profile:
Graduates of the ESAG business administration program should:
Be able to identify, create, and reinvent new patterns of association, both in identifying new business opportunities and in solving complex problems.
Be able to work in a multi-, inter-, and transdisciplinary manner in the development, implementation, and management of innovative business and social projects.
Have the ability to undertake business and social projects in a manner that integrates information and communication technology (ICT) and sustainability.
Have the ability to transform and innovate business and social environments in a manner that integrates entrepreneurship, information and communication technology (ICT), and sustainability.
Have the ability to identify and utilize information and communication technologies (ICTs) in data manipulation and the extraction of information relevant to business and social decision-making.
Have the ability to connect data and information from different fields of knowledge, aiming to solve problems and build innovative and sustainable projects.
