The Didactics and Teacher Education Research Group (NAPE) is a space for the production and dissemination of studies and research in Education, focusing on the relationships between teacher education, teaching practice, literacy, curricular practices, and educational policies for working with children, adolescents, youth, adults, and the elderly.
NAPE operates in Room 315 at the Center for Human Sciences and Education (FAED/UDESC) and also serves as a hub for collaboration with the Brazilian Literacy Association and the Santa Catarina Literacy Forum.

This research group focuses on the interfaces between education, digital technologies, and cyberculture. It studies theoretical and methodological approaches related to educational practices in virtual environments, including the integration and mediation of digital technologies in pedagogy, virtual learning environments, cultural, ethical, and political implications of digital technologies in education, technologically mediated cognitive processes, new forms of sociability, digital social networks, teacher education for cyberculture, and Actor-Network Theory.
The group collaborates with national and international institutions, disseminating research results through conferences and qualified academic publications.

This group develops studies that contribute to theoretical and practical reflections on the role of information, libraries, and information management professionals in teaching and learning processes, as well as information literacy in contemporary society.
Research is organized around three main lines: (i) Information, Memory, and Society; (ii) Information and Knowledge in Contemporary Society; and (iii) Ethics and Values in Information Science and its professions.

The Information Research Group (GPInfo) aims to study information within Librarianship and Information Science. Over time, it has undergone restructuring to reflect advances in research and faculty expertise.
Currently, the group is organized into four research lines:
Management of Information Units;
Organization and Representation of Information and Knowledge;
Scientific Production and Metric Analysis of Information;
The CIENTE group operates in the field of Information Science, focusing on the processes of scientific production, communication, and memory. Its research is organized into four lines:
Journals, science, and scientific communication;
Indicators of scientific production and communication;
Open Science and open data;
Sociology of science.
The group draws on theoretical contributions from scholars such as Pierre Bourdieu, Bruno Latour, and Robert Merton, analyzing science as a social, institutional, and symbolic practice.
CIENTE collaborates with national and international institutions, strengthening research networks and academic exchange. Its results are disseminated through conferences and high-quality publications, contributing to analyses of scientific communication, visibility and impact indicators, and the development of Open Science policies and practices.
