Doctorate in Administration (Professional)

The Doctorate in Administration (Professional), offered by the School of Administration and Economics (ESAG), has the overall objective of deepening knowledge, study, and research on the strategies that underpin actions in organizational, political, and social environments.

The objectives of the Doctorate in Administration (Professional) program are:

- To develop critical and reflective professionals capable of applying scientific knowledge, acting as agents of transformation in the field of administration;

- To deepen knowledge and the study of public, private, and civil society organizations to facilitate understanding, analysis, and problem-solving, taking into account internal and external challenges and limitations;

- Meet the local and regional demand for qualified professionals to work in organizations and technology hubs, from a perspective of innovation and sustainability, which are characteristic of the state of Santa Catarina;

- Train managers from public, private, and civil society organizations to co-produce the public good, explore new ideas, and manage and develop new projects in the field of administration;

- promote studies and research that ensure territorial and sustainable development;

- promote the development of collaborative studies and integrated action among research groups and institutions of various kinds, aiming at the coordinated solution of problems and the exploration of opportunities;

- share knowledge with society, stimulating interest in the development of research in public and private organizations, with a view to local, regional, and national development.
